Korsoygaden Viking Sword – New Model

The updated version of the Korsoygaden Viking Sword has a blade featuring more distal taper to make it more responsive and more readily used and it also has an improved scabbard. A late Viking sword, the historical original this recreation is based on was dated to the beginning of the 12th century. The blade is tempered high carbon steel (C60 – similar to 1060) and has a hardness of 48-52 HRc. The guard and pommel are solid brass and its grip is wood with a tightly stitched wrap. The sword is paired with an improved wood-core scabbard which is wrapped in tight stitched leather and features a cord binding with a wooden suspension loop by which a sword belt can be knotted or slotted through for wear.
