Full description
This Primus-grade sword recreates a Petersen Type E-2 find from the L-13 Barrow in the Forest Barrow Group, excavated in 1949 by D.A. Avdusin and dated to roughly 920–950 AD. The hilt is more decorative than most, with perforations for braided wire set in a looped lattice that also reduces weight.
The original blade is marked with a figure on one face and paired crosses separated by a helix-like form on the reverse, a mix that reflects the overlap of pagan and emerging Christian symbolism in the 10th century. The model was developed with Keith Wescovich and is aimed at serious collectors and living historians.
Class: Light Combat. The edge is unsharpened.
