Gammelt Jern Sword, 13th Century (Based on Type XIV)

This sword is based on a 13th-century Type XIV find, its name taken from the Norwegian phrase for “old iron”, a reminder of how much history a well-preserved medieval blade can carry.

Type XIV swords have a broad, flat blade that tapers to a sharp point, a profile that balanced cutting power with the thrusting ability increasingly valued in the High Middle Ages.

Deepeeka's reproduction is heat treated to a Rockwell hardness of 48–52 and built with a full tang, as part of its medieval heritage range.
