Full description
Inspired by the Hedemark sword, dated to the late 9th century and held by the Museum of Cultural History in Oslo (museum number C9981). Deepeeka's replica recreates the two-piece pommel construction of the original, so a visitor can look up the museum piece it is based on.
This stage-combat version has a thick C60 high-carbon steel blade with blunt edges, made for blade-on-blade contact. The guard and pommel are steel, the wooden grip is tightly wrapped in leather, and the scabbard has a wood core covered in stitched leather with a wooden suspension loop.
Class: Stage combat. Blunt edge.
