Full description
Odin, King of Asgard and seeker of truth, stands at the pinnacle of the Norse pantheon. This solid brass pendant shows the Allfather not as a distant ruler but as the tireless wanderer who sacrificed everything for knowledge.
The details
- The raven: On his shoulder sits Huginn (Thought) or Muninn (Memory), who fly across the nine worlds each day and whisper their secrets into his ear.
- The wolves: At his feet sit Geri and Freki, “the Ravenous Ones”, symbols of the warrior's nature and loyalty.
- Gungnir: Odin grips his spear, made by dwarves never to miss its mark, a symbol of authority and focus.
- The Vegvísir and the eye: Above his head is the Wayfinder symbol, for his role as a guide through life's storms. His face shows the stoicism of a god who traded an eye for a drink from Mimir's Well of Wisdom.
The legend: the sacrifice for the runes
Odin hung from the World Tree, Yggdrasil, pierced by his own spear for nine nights, fasting and staring into the abyss. Through this trial he seized the runes, bringing writing, magic and destiny to gods and men. The pendant is a reminder that wisdom is earned through endurance and the courage to look into the dark.
Why wear Odin
- Clarity and insight: to see through deception to the truth
- The wanderer's spirit: for those who explore the world and the mind
- Authority with responsibility: to lead others, first master yourself
