Odin's Ravens Viking Seax – Huginn and Muninn

This seax celebrates Huginn and Muninn, Odin's ravens, which Norse belief held flew around the world each day gathering knowledge for the god. The ravens are among the best-known Viking Age symbols, appearing on the Oseberg ship burial textiles, Gotlandic picture stones and in the Prose Edda.

The hand-hammered, forged high-carbon steel blade has a thick spine and a single edge in traditional seax form. The polished bone grip is etched with the ravens' runes, and the guard and pommel are steel. The brass-riveted, vegetable-tanned leather sheath is decorated with antiqued brass ravens and Viking knotwork.

Class: Display and re-enactment. The edge is unsharpened.
