A reconstruction of an early 15th century sword associated with the Royal Armouries collection, dated to 1432, featuring a distinctive finger guard and a slender, thrust-oriented blade - a design marking the transition toward more specialised thrusting swords of the Late Medieval period.
This sword is a reconstruction of an early 15th century original associated with the Royal Armouries collection, dated to 1432 and linked to Milan, one of the great Italian centres of edged tool production in the period. Its distinctive finger guard - an additional ring or loop allowing the index finger to hook over the crossguard for improved point control - represents the transition toward the more specialised thrusting swords that would come to dominate later Renaissance fencing.
Part of premium Primus range, Deepeeka's reproduction faithfully recreates this transitional Milanese hilt form.
