Full description
A reproduction of the 8th-century Fetter Lane Anglo-Saxon sword, closely based on the pommel and half-grip of the original that survives in the British Museum.
This Primus version has a Damascus steel blade with a rippled, pattern-welded look. The bronze-finish cast hilt carries spiral, serpent-like relief on one side and a bird-like knotwork creature on the other, with tin-plated bands and a two-part, riveted pommel. It comes with a leather-bound wooden scabbard with antiqued brass fittings and a wooden suspension loop.
Class: Display and re-enactment. The edge is unsharpened.
