Full description
The seax was traditionally a straight, single-edged blade used widely across Anglo-Saxon and Viking cultures. This example is a decorative variation with a broader, slightly curved blade that adds visual presence and changes how it handles.
It keeps the defining characteristics of a seax while reflecting the Norse habit of combining function and decoration. The wide blade offers strong cutting capability, and the curve gives a more fluid feel than straight seax forms.
The carved bone handle is paired with metal fittings for durability and looks. The scabbard is richly detailed with embossed patterns, brass reinforcements and suspension rings, suitable for display or carry. A striking piece for collectors, reenactors and enthusiasts.
